The Next Step

Lunchtime AI Introduction

If the free webinar gave your team a useful starting point, this is where to go next. A 60-minute paid session for up to 10 participants that goes further into the practical day-to-day questions: which tools are appropriate for legal work, how to supervise AI output as a professional obligation, and what a sensible policy looks like for a firm your size.

The session can be tailored to your firm. If your team is already using specific tools, has particular concerns, or works in a practice area with its own pressures, we shape the content around that. You get a session that is relevant to how your firm actually operates, not a standard agenda delivered to every room.

It is also the natural starting point for firms coming to us directly, without having attended the webinar first.

Who This Is For

Built for firms that are ready to act.

Our training is designed for small and mid-sized law firms of 5 to 100 fee earners. You do not need an IT department. You do not need to have started yet. You just need to have decided it is time to take AI seriously.

Managing partners and practice managers
Responsible for firm-wide technology decisions without a dedicated IT resource. Wants clarity on what AI means before committing to anything.
Fee earners already using AI tools
Using ChatGPT or Copilot day-to-day without formal guidance. Needs to understand what is appropriate, what the risks are, and how to apply professional judgement.
Firms under regulatory or client pressure
Clients or insurers are asking about AI governance. The SRA guidance is sharpening. Formal certification demonstrates a considered and documented approach.
The Regulatory Picture

The duty of competence does not have an AI exemption.

Why this matters now
“Supervising AI output is the same professional obligation as supervising a junior lawyer’s work. The SRA expects firms to have thought about this.”

Using AI without adequate supervision and judgement is a professional conduct issue, not just a technology risk. Recent tribunal decisions have confirmed this clearly. Our training programmes address it directly, giving fee earners the knowledge they need to use AI responsibly and giving firms the documentation to show they have acted on it.

Common Questions

Things people usually ask.

Do participants need any prior knowledge of AI?+
No. The free webinar and lunchtime session are designed for people with no prior AI knowledge. The certification programmes build from first principles. Some participants will have used AI tools already, which is helpful, but it is not required.
Are the certification programmes specific to legal work?+
The AI Essentials for Legal programme is specifically tailored for solicitors and legal professionals. The curriculum covers professional conduct obligations, supervision of AI output in legal contexts, and practical application and use of tools in legal workflows. The AI Executive programme is also tailored for firm leadership in the legal sector.
What does the AI Cert qualification mean in practice?+
The AI Cert is an accredited qualification that demonstrates a formal and documented understanding of AI. For individual solicitors it is a professional credential. For firms it provides evidence of a considered approach to AI training, which is increasingly relevant in the context of SRA expectations and client due diligence requirements.
Can we book training for the whole firm?+
Yes. The lunchtime session accommodates up to 10 participants per session. For larger groups looking to complete certification together, we run cohorts of 20 to 25 participants. Contact us to discuss what works best for the size and structure of your firm.
